Coming Together When It Matters Most​

We had a very different strategy as we prepared to kick off the last months of the year. In light of the current disruption to critical food and nutrition benefits, our team is working to ensure our core programs continue to feed the need across Rhode Island. However, we needed to address the current environment we find ourselves – along with hundreds of other nonprofits – in.

 

Our growing community of supporters, volunteers, and like-minded business and agencies allows us to operate without reliance on government funding. Because of that, we can pivot and move in the direction the needs of our neighbors take us.

 

In just 72 hours, our generous community has enabled our team and incredible network to mobilize faster than ever to respond to what's shaping up to be a significant crisis for more than 140,000 Rhode Islanders facing disruption to SNAP benefits.

 

Hundreds of meals and Hope Chest restocks of shelf-stable groceries have been coordinated for families, seniors, and individuals who depend on our support. Thanks to your donations, shares, amazon wish list orders, and drop-offs, help is reaching neighbors in real time — proving that when our community comes together, we move mountains.

 

We wouldn't be able to do it without the generosity and compassion of so many. And we don't take that for granted.
